For this post we are looking to appoint someone who will play a key role in the teaching journalism and/or public relations studies modules at undergraduate and taught postgraduate level. You should have a good honours degree in a relevant area, together with a professional qualification or equivalent experience, recent professional experience, and knowledge of current developments in the field of journalism practice and/or public relations, including use of new media technologies. Some experience of teaching in higher education is also desirable. You will contribute to existing teaching on undergraduate modules in journalism and/or public relations studies and will also develop your own specialist teaching within the field. Expertise in teaching or practising media law, magazine journalism or public relations would be an advantage. Expertise in multi-media/new media production is essential, as is experience with the following software packages: Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Flash, Photoshop and Combustion.
