Hello AEJMAC Colleagues:
I look forward to seeing you all
in Toronto at the conference Aug. 4-7.
INQUIRY: The American Indian
community is very strong in Toronto (in Canada in general). What are we
doing to reach out to the Toronto Native community?
CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS: Would
someone please take leadership in reaching out to the Native community and
coordinate with our fabulous Div. Chair Linda and Vice chair MJ? We
want to make sure that all area Native (and other MAC demographics by the way)
journalists and media professionals know about AEJ and MAC, are invited to our
sessions, including the MAC & CSM business meetings and MAC luncheon
(if there is still room).
I am moving into my first house
and moving (period) for the first time in nine years while trying to fulfill the
regular overwhelming professional commitments and ambitions, including a paper
for the conference, so I can't be of much help but I am hoping someone
will/already has taken leadership on this point. Remember WHATEVER you can
do (running it past Linda for approval before doing anything in the Division's
name) will be "mass que nada" better than nothing, a noble
contribution.
You may reply to the whole list and feel free to
CALL me at my home office if you want to talk to me about it because I am better
off with summer email than in past years but still have too close to 500 in
queue so please call if you want a timely response from me. (Home Office,
270-8052).
Thanks for your consideration.
Know Justice, Know Peace,
E-K.
