This free event, which will be held at the Thurman J. White Forum Building, 1704 Asp Ave., on the South OU campus, in Norman, will take place on Wednesday, October 6th and Thursday, October 7th, and will offer supercomputing professionals numerous sessions, with a focus on Applications and Systems. You will be able to view the agenda, which will allow you to plan the events and sessions that will be most beneficial to you. Lunch and a banquet on Wednesday, as well as breakfast on Thursday, are being provided by the sponsors, as well as event shirts for participants who pre-register. One of this years keynote speakers will be Sangtae Kim, the inaugural director of the Division of Shared Cyberinfrastructure, a new division in the National Science Foundations Computer and Information Science and Engineering Directorate. In addition to the presentations and speakers in attendance, the Supercomputing Symposium 2004 will feature a poster session, networking banquet and welcoming reception, sponsored by Intel, which includes a tour of OSCERs new facility in the Stephenson Research Center. Posters will cover a variety of topics pertaining to Computational Science & Engineering (including computational research in every field of engineering, physical science, biological science, social science and business), High Performance Computing (HPC), High Performance Networking, Grid Computing, and HPC education. Students -- graduate and undergraduate -- who are interested in these areas, are also invited to attend. This is a great opportunity to introduce your students to conferences, especially because there is not cost to attend.
