Assistant Professor, Electronic Media Production
The
Faculty in the school advise students, teach a variety of undergraduate
and graduate courses and are expected to regularly engage in scholarly research
and/or creative activity. We’re looking for an enthusiastic
professional who can advise the school’s student run production
company. Since this is also an opportunity to revitalize and
refocus our production program, applicants should be able to teach hands-on
camera, lighting, editing, directing, sound, project management and production
skills and to work collaboratively with other faculty on convergence projects.
Candidates should have at least a master’s level degree in production,
journalism or related field at the time of the appointment and a minimum of
eight years of video production experience. Applicants with
bachelor’s level degrees and significant teaching and professional
experience will also be considered.
Applicants should provide specific examples of production work such as:
video news releases, studio discussion and live programs, remotes, and
training, marketing or interactive videos. Production examples should be
submitted on DVD or on CD with the format specified (QuickTime, Divx,
etc.). A letter of application, resume/vitae, three references, a client
