Hello folks--

Well, we have some new options for dancing in Norman and I think that it's
going to be absolutely great.

First, I have negotiated with Kongo's to set up a dance night on Friday
nights.  We will have exclusive use of the dance bar and any music we choose until
9 pm on Fridays.  We can stay past 9 pm and continue to dance to their
music--Friday is a retro selection, so some great danceable stuff--as well as making
the occasional request.  I think that we should try for twice a month, to
begin a few weeks from now.  If there are any preferences for the kick-off date,
please let me know.  My thought was to work around the OKC Ballroom Club
Fridays which are the first and third Fridays of the month, which would leave us the
second and fourth Fridays.  If you have any thoughts on this, let me know.

I think that this will be a fantastic venue for our dancing folks.  However,
there is one limitation; although the Kongo's grill area has now become open
to those 18 and over, the dance club is still only for age 21 and over.  Noone
under 21 will be allowed to enter the dance portion of the club as that is
where the alcohol is kept, due to local regulations.  However, there is another
room that is part of the grill that has a small dance floor; I have asked if it
would be possible to hold a dance there for those that are 18-21, and they
are willing as long as they have no special events going on.  This room is not
particularly ideal, but it is one option for the 18-21 crowd.  However, I am
going to look for some other possibilities for that group.

Second, I will be offering the intermediate/advanced dance class that people
have asked about at Kongo's.  It will be on Wednesday nights at 8 pm.  We can
either do a 4-week session on one dance, or a 6-week session on two dances.
Let me know what your thoughts are on this and what dances you would prefer.
We can set this up as soon as I get some feedback; please let me know if you
are interested and what your preferences are for session and dance options.

Third, there will be private lessons available at Kongo's on Wednesdays.  My
former partner Ross Pearce and I will both be available for lessons beginning
in the early afternoon on Wednesday, beginning next Wednesday (September 7).

I am very excited about Kongo's and think that it will be a great spot for
dancing.  All of the arrangements are made so we are ready to go as soon as we
