It appears that it is indeed "normal" that you're not receiving your own submissions.  That hasn't always been the case.  But after a couple of recent questions, I checked the settings, and that appears to be the new default.

I haven't figured a way to change everyone's settings simultaneously -- and there are over 100 members.  So, I'm researching how you can send a command to change your own settings.

I'll let you know what I find out.
