Open Auditions: ~ TONIGHT: Wednesday, December 14th from 6-8pm in the Union's Crimson Room (1st Floor, near Crossroads Restaurant) ----- ABOUT THE PROJECT The song tells the sordid and deceptively simple tale of small town intrigue, forbidden pleasure, and what happens when two people put everything at risk for a night of pleasures indulged upon the dance floor. This song deals with mature themes, including adultery, sex, and murder. We're looking shooting the entire video on miniDV format with some tweaking during shooting and in post to try get it looking as much like film as possible. The final product will be mostly high contrast black and white, with the possibility of some de-saturated or spot color effects. There are = 3 distinct moods to the song, which may further affect color palette choices. I'm hoping to a very literal interpretation of the lyrics as I believe that there are some fantastic visuals there for the taking. Auditions will be videotaped. We're going to try and avoid callbacks if at all possible. For people wanting to be a dancer/extra we'll have you do som= e tango during your audition. Dress comfortably. No need to come in costume. You are more than welcome to audition for more than one role. If you're auditioning for the "main character/narrator" we will ask you to lip sync some of the lyrics to the song. (Just a heads up. We don't expect you to be perfect the first time doing this.) ----- CASTING FOR: Main Character/Narrator ~ (male/look 25-40 years old/must be able to dance/rogue-ish good looks/must be able to lip sync) John Finn's Wife ~ (female/look 25-35 years old/must be able to dance/black/dark brown hair/expressive eyes a plus) John Finn ~ (male/look 40-65 years old/a little weathered looking) Band/Musicians ~ (4-6 members/male & female/look 22-45 years old/should be able to play an instrument, or at least fake it convincingly) Gang ~ (4-6 members/male/look 22-45 years old) Cops ~ (2-3 members/male/look 30-65 years old) Extras ~ Approx. 40-50 Dance Attendees/male & female/look 18-65 years old/should be able to dance) ----- If you want to listen to the song you can go to www.gmail.com and log in using the following info: Account Name: JohnFinnsWife Password: nickcave Just open the e-mail in the inbox and download the .mp3.
