WOMEN’S INTERNATIONAL DAY
The Three Weeks of Global Action on Gender and the Media will culminate with a global celebration to highlight the necessity to promote a fair and balanced representation of women and men in media. Film festivals, round tables, workshops, cyber dialogues, press conferences, radio and TV special programs, seminars, and parties are already planned to take place up until next March 8th on five continents. CAMPAIGN ACTIVITIES
The launch of the Global and Local Report in Georgia followed the first events of the Three Weeks of Action that took place in Puerto Rico, Fiji, and London. Pictures and full reports:

NATIONAL REPORTS
For the first time as part of the Global Media Monitoring Project, some of the countries that took part in the media monitoring have produced a National GMMP report in their own language. Bosnia and Herzegovina, Germany, Montenegro, Portugal, Puerto Rico, the United States, and 13 South African countries are the first ones to break the ice.

We aim to create a permanent
resource on media monitoring and advocacy for those concerned with the promotion of gender equality in the media. Join us and start working with our network. Download the Gender and Media Toolkit in English and French. Soon, in Spanish.
