The Smithsonian Center for Education and Museum Studies recently released two new segments in its lesson plan series. "Portraits: Visual and Written" introduces students to the life and work of American authors Louisa May Alcott and Samuel Clemens, and "The Music in Poetry" introduces students to the rhythms of poetry and includes an online soundtrack. NWP provided advice on both issues.
