Effective June 17, 2006, The University of Oklahoma will begin a new contract, with GE Capital Services, for a travel expense credit card (TE Card) to help employees facilitate the payment and management of travel that they do on official University business. The current contract with JPM Chase will expire upon the new contract becoming effective.

If you currently hold a JPMChase TE Card and would like to apply for a new one through GE Capital, you will need to complete a new application.  Applicants will undergo a credit inquiry before cards will be issued.  If a card is not issued because of an employee’s credit inquiry results, this information will be held confidential and will not be revealed to the University.  This card functions in the same way as any other personal credit card. The employee is personally responsible for timely paying all charges on each monthly statement.  If payments are not made in the appropriate time frame or if the card is cancelled due to lack of payment, these records may be reflected on the employee’s personal credit score.  Statements will go directly to the employee each month and the balance is due and payable in full upon receipt. Late fees or reinstatement fees are the responsibility of the employee and cannot be reimbursed by the University.
