Temple
University's Department of Film & Media Arts seeks a chair. The department is searching for a visionary individual invested in the bridging of film, video and new media, whose own body of theoretical, critical or artistic work is nationally or internationally recognized.  

Temple
’s Film & Media Arts Department is a leader in documentary, independent narrative and experimental forms, and is ranked among the top 10 film programs in the country.  Acknowledged as a "nationally and internationally recognized program with a distinct identity of independent filmmaking and a history of producing socially conscious filmmakers," Film & Media Arts encourages a cross-disciplinary mix of theory and practice including hybrid and new media arts production.  The Department of Film & Media Arts houses an MFA Program, and enrolls c. 750 BA and 50 MFA students.  For more information, consult its Web site at www.temple.edu/fma <http://www.temple.edu/fma> .

An MFA, PhD, or equivalent professional experience is required.  
In addition to serving as chair, the successful candidate will teach in areas of his/her specialization.
