Improv Fans,
Warm your hearts with comedy this weekend as Oklahoma's
premiere comedy troupe, Obviously Unrehearsed Improv!, returns to OU
with an improv extravaganza that will feature a variety of short-form,
long-form, and musical improv. The show will begin at 8pm on Saturday,
January 20th, in the Oklahoma Memorial Union's Meacham Auditorium on
the
University of Oklahoma's Norman campus. Tickets will be $5 at
the door. Audience participation is encouraged. Some content may not be
suitable for everyone.
This weekend also marks the beginning of the second semester of The
Improv Institute, a series of eight weekly classes focused on teaching
the methods behind the magic that is improvisational comedy and
theater.
The Improv Institute will begin Sunday, January 21, 2007, the
day after the Meacham performance and will be from 5-7pm in the OU
Memorial Union's Will Rogers Room. Classes will take place every
Sunday, thereafter. The Institute is free and open to the public (ages
14 and up).
