Hi everyone - Our club received a large donation of amateur radio equipment from the daughter of silent key Ray Davis, KM5MJ, from Purcell. Jeff and I basically cleaned out the garage and shack of the house; we didn't have time to inspect many of the items closely, but I know there are at least two Yaesu rigs and two power supplies in there. We need to inventory all the equipment and estimate its value for tax purposes. So, I'm hereby declaring an "inventory party" this coming Sunday, April 1st (NOT an April Fool's joke!) at 2 p.m. at the shack. The equipment needs to be cleaned, inventoried, tested, and its value estimated. I would also like all club members to sign a thank-you card to the donor. (Those who can't come Sunday will get another chance to sign the card at the April 5th meeting). Please come to the shack at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 1st. If you can provide any of the following, please let me know: Lysol Glass-plastic-metal cleaner Compressed air Terry cloths/old t-shirts Paper towels Q-tips Antistatic Pledge for Electronics Latex gloves Dust masks Snacks and drinks See you then! P.S. If anyone's wondering if the antenna removal is related... Yes, it's the same guy's house. The family has been very generous to us. I withheld the announcement about the equipment because we needed to line up the "official" acceptance of the donation.
