Hope this note finds everyone well and in good spirits. I am attaching a paper call with an August 16 postmark deadline for the Southwest Symposium, to be held Oct. 26-27, 2007 in Norman, OK. The Southwest Symposium is the annual research conference sponsored by SWECJMC, a regional affiliate of AEJMC. This year, we're hosting the meeting at OU, and you are welcome to come visit and participate.

On the personal side: after nearly two years service as Associate Dean, I have chosen to return to a full-time faculty position and resume a research position I put on hold, temporarily, when I took on administrative duties. It's been a rewarding experience, but I look forward to reactivating many writing and scholarly projects I had begun but have been unable to finish.
