FW: SATILLITE BROADCAST:  September 19

Hello All,

This is a late alert regarding a caregiver satellite broadcast being offered today from noon-2:30pm at the VA.

The OKL VAMC will be an access point for the nationwide, VA sponsored satellite broadcast on federal programs supporting caregivers.  The video conference room (SPD 6F-105) is reserved for this event from 11am-2:30pm CST.  The program will be simulcast from noon-2:30.  I hope that you find time to join us during any part of the program.  Details from the coordinating center are below.  The best way to find room 6F-105 is to use the west elevators near the Pizza place inside the VA building (rather than the east elevators near the store).

I will try to be there for the entire 2.5 hours, but it is a come-and-go situation for most.

Please note that the URL links below beginning with http://vawww... will work with VA-networked computers only.

Satellite Broadcast: Federal Programs Supporting Caregivers

September 19 @ 1:00 -3:30 PM ET at all VA Medical Centers

This satellite broadcast, which is a joint effort of the Administration on Aging, CMS, and VA,  presents a wonderful opportunity for the VA to partner with community agencies. It would be a great way to network and discuss ways of working collaboratively to assist our veterans’ caregivers while also providing CEUs. As VA leaders in health care, please take the initiative to invite your community partners to join you at your facility for this important broadcast.

Feel free to share this announcement widely with those that you think might be interested as we would like to get good participation.
