Arkansas State University Position: Assistant professor of journalism. Employment Date: August 11, 2008. Duties: Teach visual communication and design, and digital journalism or print journalism; produce research and or creative activity, advise students and engage in general service to the department, college, university and profession. Qualifications: Doctorate in appropriate area and professional experience or master's degree and 3-5 years of professional experience. General Information: The department offers a bachelor of science in journalism with emphases in news editorial, photojournalism, advertising and public relations as well as a bachelor of science in graphic communication. It is part of an AEJMC-accredited unit that has been accredited since 1979. With more than 10,900 students, the university occupies 800 acres amid the hills of Crowley's Ridge. Our 450 faculty members guide students through academic programs in nine colleges, one independent department and a graduate school.
