ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR MEDIA STUDIES HUNTER COLLEGE CUNY The Department of Film and Media Studies, which combines critical analysis with a range of creative media practices seeks an assistant/associate professor of media studies with substantial research and teaching knowledge of the media and their historical and contemporary contexts. This position requires someone who brings a critical and analytical perspective to the regulatory and economic environment of new and traditional media. In addition, the candidate should be conversant with the dynamics of competing interests and the influence they exert on media access, content and distribution. Courses will be taught in the undergraduate Media Studies program and the graduate Integrated Media Arts (IMA) M.F.A. program. Candidate must have a PhD in media studies or related area.
