Hi folks - Traditionally, OUARC holds officer elections at the May meeting each year. In a slight change from previous years, we plan to do election ballots via e-mail this year. Our current VP, Chris Pape (who is not standing for re-election), has volunteered to be in charge of the election balloting and vote counting. If a ballot is necessary, Chris will send out the e-mail ballot over this listserv around 5 p.m., Wednesday, April 30th, and it will be due at 5 p.m., Friday, May 2nd. ***Only student members of OUARC are eligible to vote.*** The 2008-9 offices up for election are President, VP, Secretary, and Treasurer. If you wish to nominate yourself or someone else for any of these offices, nominations are due by 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 30th to Chris Pape ([log in to unmask]). A nominee must be an OU student during the 2008-9 academic year and a current OUARC member in good standing. If there is only one valid nomination for an office, and that nominee accepts, that nominee wins by default. Only if there are multiple nominations for an office will a ballot be required. Any comments or criticisms of this plan can be sent to me ([log in to unmask]) and Chris Pape (chrispape.ou.edu). Thanks!
