The Department of Modern Foreign Languages at Ohio Wesleyan University has a tenure-track position in Spanish for a Latin American literature specialist of the Southern Cone (Cono Sur) at the rank of assistant professor.  Required qualifications: PHD in Spanish by the time of appointment (August 2009).  Candidates must have a native or near-native fluency in Spanish and English and be able to teach courses at all levels of undergraduate instruction.  Candidates should also demonstrate knowledge of current methodology for foreign language teaching.  Teaching load is three courses per semester (10-12 weekly contact hours).  Send letter of application, CV, transcripts and three professional references to: Julian Arribas, Chair, Department of Modern Foreign Languages, 61 South Sandusky St., Ohio Wesleyan University, Delaware, OH 43015.  Women and minorities are encouraged to apply.  Review of applications will begin on December 4^th and will continue until the position is filled.  MLA Interviews.
