Estimados colegas: El Prof. James. A. Castañeda,
especialista en el Siglo de Oro, ha fallecido. Desafortunadamente,
nunca tuve contacto personal con él, salvo por el hecho de que nos mandó
a Henry W. Sullivan y a mí un ensayo para incluir en el homenaje a
nuestro director de tesis, Frank P. Casa. James añadió también una
anécdota graciosa sobre su amistad con Frank Casa y Berislav
Primorac. Pude captar en ese instante que tendría que haber sido un
colega de saludable buen humor. Eso nunca se olvida. Siempre
es triste compartir estas noticias. Favor de invocar los enlaces de
abajo. Por medio del segundo se puede mandar un pésame. Las
exequias fúnebras se celebrarán esta tarde (a las 16 :00h) en Houston,
Tejas, EEUU. ARL.
