Thanks to Robert Lauer for sharing the sad news. I want to mention that Jim Castañeda was, for many years, a member of the Editorial Advisory Board of Bulletin of the Comediantes. He sent in his last evaluation about seven weeks ago, with, as always, constructive and on-target comments to accompany his recommendation. It was a great honor to have known Jim. I learned much from his scholarly work and admired his friendliness and optimism, and I loved the fact that he was both a comediante and a jock. He was a most accomplished scholar and teacher and a true gentleman. We will miss him and send condolences to his family, colleagues, and friends.

  Subject: Tristes noticias

Estimados colegas: El Prof. James. ARL.
