Hi all--
There is enough dancing for the next three days in Norman to keep everyone
happy...so here goes:
1. Beth Emerson is in Norman again tonight and doing a fabulous class
on Country. If you've never done any of it before (and perhaps haven't
been all that thrilled with what you have seen out somewhere), you really should
come and give it a try. It's even better when a Masters' Level champion
and judge is there to show you how it's done!
Class is at 7 pm; the cost is $10/person, $5 for OU students.
Location: Shall We Dance?, 2276 West Main in the Normandy Creek shopping center,
between Edward Jones and Gillam Music.
2. Friday night dance party at Shall We Dance? (see location above);
begins with a group class at 7 pm, and we dance from 8 to 10 pm. All
styles and levels of dancer are welcome.
3. Saturday night is The Snow Ball, presented by the Sooner Ballroom
Dance Club; this will be held in the Molly Shi Boren Ballroom in the Student
Union at OU (at the southwest corner of Boyd and Asp). The class starts at
7, and there will be open dancing from 8 pm until 11 pm. The cost is $6
for a single, and $10 for a couple. I have been at this event before and
it's a wonderful evening. I definitely recommend it!
