Dear OURMEDIA members,

I am wondering if any of you know of, or work for, an organisation in Brazil that we might be able to partner with in order to hold a roundtable discussion event sometime in the next few months? The project is explained a bit better here http://community.eldis.org/.59bf5538/Blog/; it’s funded by the Ford Foundation and is trying to discover how alternative voices on development can make themselves heard in global debates – or what barriers are preventing them from being heard. Previous events have been in Bangladesh, Kenya and China. We would provide funding, support and guidance but would hope to draw on the local partner’s networks and ideas. In addition to discussing the main theme, each event has also looked at a topic of particular interest in the local context – for instance, microcredit in Dhaka. Any suggestions/contacts are very much appreciated!

Best

Charlie
