Dear MAC & CSW Members:

Hello. I am conducting interviews with African-American women who (1) have a
Ph.D. and (2) are professors of any rank to discuss their perceptions about
work-life balance. You do not need any prior knowledge to participate –
there are no right or wrong answers to any of the questions. If you are
interested in participating, the interview will last approximately one hour
(60 minutes), and all information you give me will be kept confidential.

You can even provide me with a pseudonym, if you are comfortable with that.

If you decide to participate, I will fax or e-mail a form stating the
details of the report and whom you can contact with any questions, and I
will also ask that you sign and return the form, granting me permission to
audiotape our interview. After the interview is over, if you request to see
the final report, I will be happy to provide you with a copy.

Thank you for your consideration. I am hoping to conduct interviews at the
2010 AEJMC conference in Denver and over the phone in August.

Please contact me if you have any questions.

Sincerely,

Natalie T. J. Tindall, Ph.D.
