Screenwriting books can be of great help as well. Syd Field has a number of related books that detail dialogue, which is a good half of a screenplay.

I'd look at one of the many on writing plays. I have a few, but can't get them in your hand for a couple of weeks. The techniques of telling story through dialogue adapt pretty well from stage to page, if you know what I mean.
But there are doubtless some out there for the novelist...
