This person will take the lead in multicultural and international research initiatives that will attract external funding while enhancing the research mission of the Mayborn Graduate Institute and the Mayborn School. The position also involves teaching graduate research courses as well as other courses, developing new courses and research projects as needed by the Mayborn School. Committee work and other assignments will be required. Required qualifications include a Ph.D., professional experience in conducting externally funded multicultural research projects, experience in managing research staff and college-level teaching experience. Preferred qualifications include a Ph.D. in journalism or a related field, experience in teaching research, both quantitative and qualitative, and conducting research of racial and ethnic minorities and other underserved audiences. A proven track record for increasing professional partnerships and fundraising is a plus.
