Thank you EVERYONE who has already responded to my inquiry about testing on course syllabi. Even if you missed the first message or are just getting to this message in Jan. or Feb. please continue to send me your responses. They have been so wonderful I am going to share the responses in some formal way. My response to Sharron is below because it keeps bouncing back when I try to send it to her individually. I don't know if it's part of my institution's singling me out for more e-persecution or if both our institutions initials are the same and a virus filter is blocking it. Let's hope it's the latter. Best wishes for a WONDERFUL holiday/intercession for everyone. Know Justice; Know Peace, Rev. I am unable to imitate it here because teachers can not drop students from a class under any conditions. Admin has forced me to continue with students who have cursed me out, threatened me and the other students in class and at home and even one attempted assault - so I know they won't drop anyone who has not signed a syllabus contract... Aw well, thanks for letting me know what you do. Know Justice; Know Peace, Rev. Daufin Subject: Re: do you test on your syllabus Hi EK - All students in my classes sign a mandatory Course Syllabus Contract pledging they have read the syllabus (which is discussed beginning to end in our first class). They are given two weeks to sign the contract via Blackboard and are made aware of the consequences of not signing. Two weeks after the first class day, any student who has not signed the contract is automatically dropped. I've given the syllabus quiz before, but it takes more time than the contract and we have much to cover in class. Best, Sharon On 12/6/10 6:29 PM, "E. K.
