During the month of February, The Pentagon Channel will air Deeds Not  
Words: The Buffalo Soldiers in World War II.  The program is produced,  
written, edited and narrated by James A. Rada, an Associate Professor  
in the John H. Johnson School of Communications at Howard University.



Deeds Not Words: The Buffalo Soldiers in World War II is the true  
story of one the last segregated army units as told by the men  
themselves.  Included in the documentary are interviews with the  
Director of the Army War College, the daughter of one of the white  
officers in the unit, and one of the 92nd’s  biggest supporters –  
former Chair of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Colin Powell.



The Pentagon Channel (TPC) is a TV channel broadcasting military news  
and information for the 2.6 million members of the U.S. Armed Forces.  
It is widely available on US cable television and through DirecTV to  
approximately 40 million households.

TPC can also be viewed overseas via the AFN networks and via the  
Internet at www.pentagonchannel.mil.
