Fifteen outstanding teachers will be selected to attend the Oklahoma Writing Project 2011 Invitational Summer Institute to be held at the University of Oklahoma.  Teachers of all subject areas and of all levels of instruction--kindergarten through university--interested in teaching composition or incorporating writing into their regular subject matter instruction may apply.  The important consideration is a strong commitment to teaching of composition and helping students' understanding through writing.

Week of April 11-15 (afternoons)                 Make-up interviews (if necessary)

April 30, 2011                                                 First pre-Institute/Orientation meeting, 9:00 a.m. - 3:45 p.m.

June 4  , 2011                                                  Second pre-Institute class, 9:00 a.m. - 3:45 p.m.

July 6-28, 2011                                                OWP Invitational Summer Institute, 9:00 a.m.-3:45 p.m.

August 3, 2011                                                OWP post-institute follow-up

Saturday in August 20 or 27, 2011                Drive-in Conferences
