From Cornucopia to Famine: Sustenance, abstinence and nutrition in the
Early Modern Hispanic world.

Early Modern imperial Spain fluctuates from cornucopia to famine, and is
not far from voluntary starvation, compulsive eating, and recipe
experimentation. Submissions are welcome on these topics (ingredients,
substances, use and abuse, non-use, compulsions, recipes, formulas), and
related issues.

Please, send conference proposals, in English or Spanish, by June 15th,
2011, to Elena del Río Parra, [log in to unmask].
