This weekend is the local "Dancing With The Stars" event sponsored by the Children's Miracle Network.  For those of you who haven't heard about this, the Shall We Dance? staff is involved....Beth, Jason, Elizabeth, and Kate are dancing with celebrities in this event.  

The event was sold out very quickly, so most of you can't get tickets....but you can watch us LIVE ONLINE on Saturday!!  The e-mail below gives all the information.  It should be a fun show!

DANCING FOR A MIRACLE OFFERS ONLINE VOTING
Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals’ Dancing for a Miracle to be Live Streamed
 
OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLA. (July 27, 2011) – For the first time, the public can vote for their favorite Oklahoma celebrity online during the 2011 Dancing for a Miracle gala, a Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals event benefiting Children’s Hospital Foundation. To vote and view the live dance competition, fans should visit www.okchf.org.
 
Dancing for a Miracle will be held on Saturday, August 6 at 6 p.m. Local celebrities are paired with professional dancers to compete in a ballroom dance competition. All of the proceeds raised through sponsorships and the event ensure that Oklahoma’s children have access to the best pediatric specialists without having to leave the state. 
 
“We are extremely excited to expand the voting process and provide live coverage to raise more money and awareness for Oklahoma’s pediatrics,” said Patrick Spencer, active Dancing for a Miracle committee member.
 
Competing for the 2011 “Dancing for a Miracle Star” will be T.J. Brown, KJ 103 Radio Personality; Joey Combs, Wild 104.9 Radio Personality; Joe Dorman, Oklahoma House of Representatives; Jeff George, Fox 25 Meteorologist; Lacey Payne, Miracle Mom; Jaclyn Schultz, Fox 25 Reporter; Diane Stockton, Co-Owner of Northwest Building Supply; Jessi Stone, the defending “2010 Dancing for a Miracle Star” and Magic 104.1 Radio Personality; Taylor Treat-Burget, Miss Oklahoma 2009; and Dave Willis, EVP/COO of Tinker Federal Credit Union.
 
Special gowns from the hit show “Dancing with the Stars” will be provided by Randall Designs and worn by all of the female performers.
 
Set to Emcee is Sarah Libby, KOCO 5 Meteorologist alongside actor and vocal performer, Tommy Cunningham, active CMN Hospitals Board Member and local businessman.
 
Special celebrity judges and commentators for the evening include Scott Hines, KFOR ‘In Your Corner’ Reporter; Amanda Taylor, News 9 Anchor; Lance West, KFOR Anchor; and Cherokee Ballard, spokeswoman for the state medical examiner’s office. 
 
Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals is an international non-profit organization dedicated to helping children by raising funds and awareness while keeping 100 percent of donations in the community where they are raised.  Children’s Hospital Foundation is a proud affiliate of CMN Hospitals and is dedicated to providing funding for pediatric programs in research, education and clinical care for Oklahoma’s children.
