Subject: NBSTRN Virtual Repository Demo

The Newborn Screening Translational Network (NBSTRN) has developed a centralized, web-based dried blood spot (DBS) virtual repository. The system represents information about the stored samples in participating states in a consistent and virtual manner to allow researchers to browse and query the DBS universe. The virtual repository provides NBSTRN members with the tools to review and manage sample requests, configure approved orders, track shipments, and view researcher responses to the samples they have received. To promote the Virtual Repository of Dried Blood Spots (VRDBS), the NBSTRN will be hosting one hour monthly training sessions which will cover a variety of topics and provide time after the demonstration for questions. Please visit our website at www.nbstrn.org <http://www.nbstrn.org>  to see a complete list of webinars. While each webinar is geared toward an intended audience, anyone is welcome to join the webinar to learn more about the VRDBS.
