2012 Spring Celebration of Writing for Students and
Teachers Thursday, March 29, 2012 Oklahoma City University This year's featured Speaker: Sonia Gensler Featured Speaker: Sonia Gensler, author of The Revenant.
This Young Adult Novel is a Victorian ghost story set in a
Cherokee girl's school in the old west.

Mrs. Gensler will speak about the process of writing, her book
and how to get published. The Oklahoma Writing Project invites you to attend the Spring Celebration of Writing for Students and Teachers. Each teacher may bring 5 students, grades 6-12. Parents and student teachers are welcome, too. Register soon. Only 225 seats available. Students will attend 2 Writing Sessions as well as be part of the Special Session with Sonia Gensler.
In the afternoon, winners of the 2012 OWP Writing Contest will be honored. All participants will receive a copy of the 2012 Anthology of Winning Writing. Schedule: 8:30 Registration/Refreshments 9:00-9:20 Orientation/Quickwrite 9:20-10:30 Special session with
