Dear OWP Teacher Consultants,
There was some confusion about the due date for these Summer Institute applications for institute co-director and coaches. So, we are extending the application time to October 8.
I have also had inquiries about whether there could be a housing stipend for coaches/co-director. OWP wants to encourage participation from all of our teacher consultants not just from those in the Norman area. Fortunately our finances are in pretty good shape this year due to three grants we have received, and we can help out by providing a housing scholarship in one of the OU dorms for a coach/co-director who lives too far to make the daily drive.

OWP Invitational Summer Institute is BACK!
We are now accepting applications for staffing positions for Summer 2013
2013 Invitational Summer Institute Co-Director:
Oklahoma Writing Project is receiving applications for Co-Director for the Invitational Summer Institute. This is a two-year appointment for the 2013 and 2014 institutes. In 2013 the ISI will be held full days (9:00 a.m. through 4:00 p.m.), Monday through Thursday for three weeks beginning June 3 and ending June 20 at the Moore Norman Technology Center. In addition there are two pre-institute Saturday meetings on April 20 and May 4. Dates to be determined are the ISI Post Institute Date and Fall Conference. The co-director coordinates interviews for applicants, and coaches participate in the interviews. Interviews are scheduled for April 6. Co-director should have been a coach during at least one ISI. The co-director receives a stipend of $2,000 the first year and $3,000 the second year.
