The Genetics in Primary Care Institute (GPCI) strives to increase primary care provider knowledge and skills in providing genetic-based services, and with the launch of GeneticsinPrimaryCare.org the GPCI aims to provide a clearinghouse for all information, tools, and resources related to improving provision of genetic medicine for primary care providers.

Informational destinations on the site include:
•         What is Genetics? This brief informational introduction to genetics showcases role of a primary care provider in providing genetic medicine.
•         Resources for Your Practice: The Integrating Genetics In Your Practice section provides a list of tools and resources that primary care providers can use with their patients including family history tools, genetic testing information for patients, risk assessment and patient communication, and information on support for genetic patients.
•         Provider Education: This page is full of educational resources ranging from webinars to CME courses, to online tools and textbooks all targeted towards primary care providers.
•         When to Refer: This section consists of information that can assist providers in deciding when to refer to a genetics specialist and provides connections to specialists and regional and state resources.
