Thanks for alerting us to Federico's post and thanks to Federico for putting it up.  I learned a lot from reading it and it reminded me of my own early childhood experiences with race and media.
My folks wouldn't let me sing Peggy Lee's hit song "Mañana Is Good Enough For Me" because my singing it could make others think Mexican Americans were lazy.
Mañana shouldn't be good enough for any of us today.
