Position Summary:

The Department of Romance Languages and Literatures at Villanova University seeks applications for a full-time non-tenure track position preferrably in Latin American Studies at the rank of assistant professor, beginning in August 2014. This position will be full-time for Fall 2014 only.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include teaching Spanish language courses at the undergraduate level, as well as participating in the Department programs and activities.


Minimum Qualifications:

Ph.D. in hand by date of appointment is preferred. Native or near-native fluency in Spanish and English, demonstrated expertise in teaching and in foreign-language teaching methodology and familiarity with relevant technologies required.


Preferred Qualifications:

Teaching philosophy commensurate with Villanova University’s mission and values.
