SUMMER REU PROGRAM AT OSU IN INFORMATION CENTRIC ENGINEERING

We have a few positions open for undergraduate students with physical disabilities to participate in a summer Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) program at Oklahoma State University, Stillwater.  One of the special thrusts of this REU is to encourage students with physical challenges and disabilities to be exposed to research activities in a cutting edge area called ‘Information Centric Engineering’ (ICE).  This REU program's research areas deals with ICE themes including digital / cyber manufacturing, Virtual Prototyping (including Virtual Reality based modeling and simulation), and Next Generation Internet frameworks for distributed collaboration for a range of process domains (micro assembly, bio medical and space systems).

I wanted to request circulating this email among your advisor colleagues and undergraduate students with disabilities and physical challenges and others. 

REU students can be majoring in an Engineering program (mechanical, electrical, civil, chemical, biomedical, industrial) or in Computer Science; this program is restricted to US citizens or permanent residents. Students will be provided a monthly stipend along with financial assistance for housing and subsistence expenses.
