Among other work, Dr. Dates has served as vice president and president of BEA. Dean Emerita of the Howard University School of Communications, she serves on the Corporation for Public Broadcasting Board. As you know, Dr. Dates co-edited the book, Split Image: African Americans in the Mass Media.
