OWP Friends,

This Land Magazine is publishing, "Chicken Fat," a story from my latest book in the inaugural quarterly issue next week.  They are hosting a launch party for the magazine and several of the contributors Thursday, April 23, at Full Circle Book Store. I'll be talking a little bit about my participation (and that of my classmates) in the President's Physical Fitness Challenge, when Muskogee was the pilot school district. I promise the story will make you laugh.

If you already have a copy of either of my books, please bring it and I will autograph it there.  If you want to buy one, they will be available.  Please spread the word.  I hope to see several of my OWP friends there next Thursday.

Janis Cramer

DIG INTO THIS LAND: Spring Quarterly Preview
This hoe kills fascists.

LANDING TODAY

Our first quarterly magazine is stuffed with new writing that examines the dissonance between memory and reality in Oklahoma. We've got Tiffany Doerr Guerzon reflecting on the Oklahoma City bombing, Rilla Askew meditating on 1970s Tahlequah, Sheilah Bright riding along with the best horse dentist in Oklahoma, and Mitch Gilliam untangling the threads of Morgellons disease. Plus, some of the best poems we've had the privilege of publishing thus far, striking photography, compelling design, and so much more. Click here for a preview.
