Position: Editor, BULLETIN OF THE COMEDIANTES

The Bulletin of the Comediantes, now entering its sixty-eighth year, invites applications for the position of Editor, to succeed Edward Friedman of Vanderbilt University, who has served in the position since 1999.
The new editor will be in charge of content and oversight of all operations connected with publication and will establish the administrative structure of the journal. To date, the managing editor has handled production, subscriptions, mailings, and financial matters. Cory Duclos of Colgate University is serving as interim managing editor. Although the time factor involved in producing an issue depends on individual style and circumstances, the editor’s intervention would be on the order of an additional class each semester and work during vacations and the summer. The starting date would be as soon as possible after the appointment is made, but by January 1, 2016, at the latest. The five-member search committee is composed of three senior members of the advisory board and the previous and current editors.
The ideal candidate will be a mid-level Associate to Full Professor and will have an established record of publication related to the wide area of Comedia studies. Previous editorial experience is preferred. Please send a current c.v. (long version) and a statement of interest in the position (with any information that will demonstrate background and qualifications) by e-mail attachment to [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> by September 30, 2015. Please feel free to consult with Edward Friedman with questions.
