Indiana University-Purdue University Post-Baccalaureate Research Education Program (IPREP) Fellowship
The Indiana University-Purdue University Post-Baccalaureate Research Education Program (IPREP) prepares recent college
graduates, who are science or engineering students from underrepresented minority or disadvantaged populations, for admission to PhD programs in the biomedical and behavioral sciences. IPREP is funded through the National Institutes of Health and draws on
the programmatic and research strengths of the major health and life sciences campus of IUPUI. Training is provided in biomedical engineering, clinical psychology, human performance and kinesiology, medical neuroscience, addiction neuroscience, musculoskeletal
and cell biology, microbiology and infectious diseases, and pharmacology toward the goal of doctoral matriculation into these graduate programs. IPREP fellows earn a competitive salary of $27,200 for the training period from June 1, 2016 through May 31, 2017,
and receive health insurance and other benefits. Application deadline is March 1st , 2016.
New York State Combustion Emissions Internship - $13-$24 /hr
New York State is seeking a graduate or advanced undergraduate student to join us in an investigation to look at ultrafine
particle emissions from advanced biomass heating systems, e.g., pellet stoves and boilers. The project will characterize combustion emissions of high-efficiency, low-emissions biomass heating appliances in relation to public health and the environment. Immediate Availability.
Funding starts August 1, 2016 and ends July 31, 2018. The deadline to apply for the CSU LSAMP-BD XIII program is May
13, 2016. However, all STEM department deadlines to apply for Admissions to the Graduate Program are much earlier. Some departments have a deadline as early as
March 15, 2016 via CSU Mentor and the specific STEM department. Other departments have deadlines in
April or May 1, 2016. Below you will find the following documents: (a) Steps recommended for applying for the LSAMP-BD program – it is important that students read and follow these recommendations
if they are interested in applying; and (b) The BD informational flyer. The BD application form (available in both Word and PDF forms) is available online at the website indicated below. Also at this website students will find the Faculty Recommendation Form
and the Coordinator Confirmation Form (both are part of the required application materials.) Students have to meet the University and STEM Department Admissions requirements to be eligible for the LSAMP-BD program, so it is important that they examine the
attached “Steps Recommended document.” We probably will not know if NSF is funding the program which is currently under review until after CSU Mentor deadlines have past. Application deadline is May 13, 2016.
