The workshop will offer insights into how to design and prepare competitive proposals for National Science Foundation (NSF) and other federal agencies, what to expect when reviewing proposals or serving on panels, and how to make the most of reviewer and program director feedback. Participants are encouraged to bring their own “Project Summary” to receive feedback from peers and Division of Chemistry (CHE) program directors in a mock panel. Applications due February 5. Clinical trial programmers, working with clinical trial statisticians, use SAS® software to write code to analyze data from the trials. There are far more clinical trial programming jobs than programmers. Join us at a new clinical trial programming space, where college students have opportunities to learn and do programming through collaboration with other college students and under supervision of mentors. The program serves as a catalyst for U.S. & Japanese students interested in future graduate study and research and contributes to the development of a generation of globally-engaged scientists & engineers. All REU students will receive a generous stipend, funding towards airfare, and funded housing. They will join significant numbers of other summer students in Grenoble /Toulouse /Bordeau /Leuven from all over Europe, as well as groups from Univ Tokyo, MIT, UPENN, Johns Hopkins, and other institutions.
