I took a class, courtesy of NASA, to learn how to crimp 'em right. Lots of people DO believe that just having the crimp tools is an adequate substitute to that class...

Got some store-bought jumpers with crimped connectors at HH the other
year.  Ended up cutting them off and soldering on new ones.  :-(
You'd think a guy (probably a guy) who was making them up for sale
would know what he was doing, but ...
