Navigating Salary Negotiations Webinar

W[https://gallery.mailchimp.com/0c1b28592babd2b47cf563c38/images/60cfdc40-9b5f-431f-af33-11d1fc480986.jpg]hile most people spend time perfecting their cover letters, résumés, and interview strategies, most people fail to prepare for salary negotiations when the job offer comes—and some people don’t negotiate at all! On average, people who negotiate earn an average of $600,000 more over their entire careers than their colleagues who do not. Emily Easton and Martin Scheeler of the University of Chicago will cover the basics of negotiations including how to prepare, how to approach the conversation, and how to determine what will be most valuable to you as a professional, no matter what field you are in. It also will include additional information on how to approach academic and non-academic negotiations, with a focus on scientific careers.

UPenn Math Bridge to PhD Program
________________________________
*Bridge to PhD* program goal is to increase the number of PhD’s awarded in mathematics at Penn to members of groups that are traditionally underrepresented. This program is different than typical Master’s programs as students will be fully funded and prepared for entry into the UPenn Math PhD program. The Bridge to PhD program seeks students with the persistence and passion to pursue the training they need to be ready for a PhD in mathematics. *Bridge to PhD* will provide students with a nurturing atmosphere, close mentoring, and opportunities to perform high-level mathematics research.
For more details, see http://bridge.math.upenn.edu<http://lsmce.us8.list-manage1.com/track/click?u=0c1b28592babd2b47cf563c38&id=a394727388&e=1ab412e47f>.
