The nationally recognized School of Journalism & Broadcasting at Western Kentucky University is seeking a full-time, 9-month, tenure-eligible Assistant Professor with a
terminal or master's degree and experience in radio and multiplatform news-style writing. The ideal candidate will have experience in news team management and production for radio broadcast and digital projects including the conceptualization and visualization
of data within the projects as well as skill sets such as photography, video and audio editing and some design that will qualify the candidate to teach core curriculum courses.
In addition to teaching basic broadcast news, basic radio production, advanced radio performance and multiplatform news writing, the successful candidate may also teach
process and effects of mass communication and core-curriculum courses required of School of Journalism & Broadcasting freshmen. The successful candidate will be required to produce consistent research/creative work necessary to achieve tenure. Other responsibilities
include student advising and service to the School and University.

Qualifications: A terminal degree (MFA or PhD) appropriate to the appointment and a minimum of two years of professional experience or a master's degree and a minimum of
four years of professional experience. Candidates should have some teaching experience in a university or professional setting.
