Dear Phillip,
As we’re getting underway for the LA Film Festival’s 2017 season I wanted to reach out to you around filmmakers with film projects currently in post-production
or ready to screen in June 2017. We want to start a relationship with filmmakers in your program and offer a point of contact with the LA Film Festival team.
Our mission is committed to supporting emerging independent filmmakers from a diverse range of backgrounds. Last year, the majority of our competition was comprised
of films directed by women and people of color. And nearly all of the films we showcase are by 1st and 2nd time directors.
Are there any upcoming films in production or post-production from your students or alumni that you think we should keep an eye out for? References and recommendations
are welcome! Please also feel free to share my email with anyone that comes to mind, and I can provide a significant discount, and in cases where filmmakers are in need a full discount, on the submission fees. I look forward to hearing from you.
