4. CALL FOR APPLICATIONS: RESEARCH EXPERIENCE ON THE INTERNET OF THINGS (IoT) FOR UNDERGRADUATES AT THE UNIVERSITY OF CENTRAL FLORIDA

The Computer Science Department at the University of Central Florida (Orlando, FL) will hold a ten-week 2017 Summer Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) on the Internet of Things http://iotreu.cs.ucf.edu/. REU students will be trained in research-based theory and applications of the technologies used in this fast-moving interdisciplinary field. The REU students will join well-established research groups under the close supervision of faculty with expertise in security, privacy, hardware design, data analytics, healthcare simulations, and social computing.

REU program dates
May 22, 2017 - July 28, 2017

Eligibility requirements
- Sophomore, junior or senior undergraduates
- Majors: computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and information technology
- Must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents
- Minimum overall GPA 2.7

Program Benefits
- $5000 stipend
- $600 travel allowance
- On-campus housing
- Meal allowance
