agenda and read the follow email for more information
The leadership team of the Louis Stokes Midwest Center of Excellence (LSMCE) is pleased to invite you to the LSAMP national meeting during the 5th LSMCE
Annual Conference pre-conference events on Friday, October 6, 2017 from 11:00 am to 4:00 PM EDT
at Sheraton Indianapolis Hotel at Keystone Crossing, Indianapolis.
An electronic invitation is embedded within this message.
The meeting brings together the LSAMP community to learn about the program updates from NSF directors and a focus on
the best practices of project evaluation and communicating impacts. The meeting will include presentations from the NSF Data Scientist and Program Evaluation Director. In addition, there will be workshops on collecting evidence-based outcomes and strategies
to communicate the LSAMP impacts widely and effectively. Attached is the LSAMP National Meeting agenda along with a draft of the LSMCE Conference agenda.
The NSF LSAMP Program Directors strongly encourage you to attend along with your project evaluator. We have limited
funds to cover travel expenses for the evaluators, and funding will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. Project evaluators can apply for funds through the online meeting RSVP form.
An online RSVP to the LSAMP pre-conference meeting is required. Please go to http://lsmceconference.org/lsampmeeting and
RSVP as soon as possible but no later than Wednesday, August 30.
Additionally, LSAMP students are encouraged to submit their poster abstracts at http://lsmceconference.org/posters/ by
Monday, August 28th to compete for the complimentary conference registration fee, two nights of lodging and $250 travel awards.
The 5th Annual Conference promises to provide the same outstanding conference experience, activities, and
opportunities as in previous years. Again, please plan to attend along with your LSAMP Project Evaluator.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Ms. Deb Cole (cole22@iupui.edu),
Dr. Kim Nguyen (knguyen@iupui.edu) or
myself. We look forward to having you in Indianapolis, October 6-8.
