At the time, the club had a non-working Heathkit HW-101. The power supply was bad, so I hauled it home to my Dad's shop (W5JHJ, SK in 2007). We found a shot power transformer and a few other things that needed repair. He got hold of a replacement power transformer and we fixed it. He wound up donating the new transformer and his time, after appropriate grumbles, since the club didn't have any money then, either. I used it some after that, as did some other members. He thought the transformer failed because someone didn't know how to tune a tube PA. So, anyone that wanted to operate it had to show me they know how. 73, Kim N5OP On Mon, Oct 26, 2020 at 4:03 PM Laws, Peter C. <[log in to unmask]> wrote: > I AM NOW! :-) > > > I suspect N5MS was at some point, too -- likely before that call was > issued to him! > > > -- > Peter Laws, BS, MRCP / N5UWY > National Weather Center / Network Operations Center > University of Oklahoma Information Technology > [log in to unmask] / he, him, his > > ------------------------------ > *From:* Kim Elmore - NOAA Affiliate <[log in to unmask]> > *Sent:* Monday, October 26, 2020 13:27 > *To:* Alpha Sigma Delta Radio Society <[log in to unmask]>; Laws, Peter > C. <[log in to unmask]> > *Subject:* Re: K5MEM, past president of ASDRS > > Are you aware that I'm a past-President?
